Ogden Community of Christ is a welcoming, loving congregation where every person is valued and belongs. Here you’ll find a safe space to explore faith, build meaningful connections, and grow in your walk with Jesus. Together, we seek renewed purpose through compassion, service, and working for peace and justice in our community.
Women in Priesthood
Jesus called people to follow him, be his disciples, and use their gifts in service to others (Luke 6:12–13). In Community of Christ, some are called by God to priesthood, serving in specific roles that each reflect a part of Jesus’ ministry. Priesthood is considered a sacred covenant with God and the church. We also believe that every member, every disciple, has essential responsibilities in Christ’s mission.
Our priesthood includes women, men, and people of every race. Together, we share in ministry that is diverse, inclusive, and grounded in the belief that all are called to build God’s peaceable kingdom.
Our Beliefs
The good news of Jesus Christ is at the heart of who we are in Community of Christ. As part of a worldwide community, we are committed to following Jesus, working for God’s peaceable kingdom, and staying open to the renewing presence of the Holy Spirit.
Our Basic Beliefs are not the final word, but an open invitation to join us on the adventure of discipleship. We believe faith grows when we study scripture, reflect on our own experiences, and walk together in community, always listening for God’s continuing guidance.
Our Sacraments
We experience God’s presence through the sacraments. These sacred moments connect our everyday lives with God’s grace. Sacraments remind us of the Holy Spirit moving among us, the life and love of Jesus Christ, and our own personal commitment of faith.
Through these holy experiences, we discover that God is not confined to a building or a moment in time. God is present everywhere. The sacraments help us see that all of life is sacred.
